ORIENTATION
1. Bring a hungry dog.

2. Bring soft treats of different varieties - already cut up to pea-size. Some of the favorites include Lickety Stick, chopped up chicken breast, diced hot dog, and freeze-dried liver. We have treats available for sale.

3. Bring a frozen, stuffed Kong, bullystick, or other type of long-term consumable to keep your dog occupied during down time and demonstrations.

4. NO flexi-leads. They are dangerous. Dogs can get tangled around each other, leading to leash-burn, and the stop button can break. Instead, bring a 4-6' standard leash - leather or fabric.

5. Bring any collars or harnesses you have. We'll see what works best for your dog. We also have collars available for sale.

6. Plan to come 10 minutes early and practice with your dog outside. You can work on anything you have learned so far and give your dog time for a potty break.

7. Don't greet other dogs in the class, prior to or during it (without permission from the instructor). Not all dogs are dog-friendly.

If your dog is in the process of learning how to politely interact with or greet new dogs, your dog will wear a BANDANA during our classes.
If you see a dog with a bandana on, please give that dog the space needed for them to feel comfortable.
Bandanas will be available, or you can wear one that you already have.

8. Any member of your family is welcome to come to the training classes, after all, your dog is an important part of your family. However, during class your dog needs your attention to train him properly. If you are going to bring your children, please bring something to keep them entertained so your main focus is your dog. If your children are unruly, you may be asked to leave.

9. For homework, aim for 30 minutes each day (5-10 minutes, 3-5 times). The more homework you do, the faster your dog will progress.

10. If you miss a class, you can schedule a make-up session ($20 for around 20 minutes), or you may be able to come to another class.

11. Your dog may have the opportunity to join us for Structured Socialization, providing your dog is not reactive or aggressive, and does fine in groups of dogs.

12. Try our Crazy Stick to exercise your dog. These are available for sale.
