Frequently Asked Questions
- Where are classes held?

Dream Dogz Training Center
3909 NW 97th Blvd
Gainesville, Florida
Our spacious 2700 sq ft air-conditioned training center.
For your convenience, we have leashes, collars, toys, and treats available for purchase.
We are North Central Florida's Premier Training Center.
- What training tools do you use?

We do not limit ourselves to one particular training tool. We recognize that each dog is an individual and what works well with one dog may not work for another. We customize training tools to match your dog's needs. Using a wide variety of collars and leads ensures your dog always get the right training for the right behavior.
No matter what training tools we use, our method is always positive! We always reward dogs for choosing the correct behavior! We never use force or yell at a dog.
Contact Victoria to find out what will work best for your dog.
- Should I take personal or group training?

Group training - working around other dogs offers more distractions, the structure of weekly classes, and homework.

Socialization - your dog must be evaluated to join us for Structured Socialization.

Personal sessions - you and your dog receive individual attention while we work on exactly what your dog needs.

Freedomâ„  - we are low level remote collar training specialists. With our program, your dog can learn to be 100% off-leash trained in high distraction environments. Freedom is gentle, calming, force free, and highly effective.

Board & Train - we offer 5-day and 3-week long programs. Your dog can board with us, or you can drop your dog off every morning and pick up every evening.
- How long are your group courses?

Our group courses are 5 weeks long, one hour per class. The course fee of $129 includes a training kit, complete with treats, treat holder, class book, ongoing support via email or telephone.
- Can my children come to training class?

Any member of your family is welcome to come to the training classes, after all, your dog is an important part of your family. However, during class your dog needs your attention to train him properly.
If you are going to bring your children, please bring something to keep them entertained so your main focus is your dog.
If your child would like to help train the family dog, that is fantastic! An adult must be in attendence, and hold on to the dog's leash at all times. Your child will then be able to concentrate on training the dog.
If your children are unruly, you may be asked to leave.
- Can I watch a class before I sign up?

Yes, you can. Contact us to set up a time to come in. You can also watch our videos (YouTube button on the left) to see what you can expect.
- Which class do I sign up for?

We would love to meet you and your dog, and help you choose the right training for your dog. Basic is a great foundation class for any dog.
- What if I miss a class?

You can schedule a make-up session for only $20 for around 20 minutes.
- My 10 week old puppy has not had his rabies vaccination, can I still come to Puppy & Basic?

We understand that your puppy may not be fully vaccinated before beginning training class. As long as your puppy is up to date on what he needs, and you bring in proof of vaccinations as they occur, your puppy is most welcome.
- I would like my dog to be a therapy dog or assistance/service dog, which class should I take?

You should start with Puppy & Basic, continue with Advanced, Trickz, and possibly Freedom.
- My dog is shy, which class should I take?

Shy dogs do well in Puppy, Basic or Freedom, and Structured Socialization. Let us know that your dog is shy and we will introduce your dog to Zoe and Arrow, who have excellent manners and can help your dog gain confidence.
